The province of Treviso is home to a wealth of historical, cultural, gastronomic and scenic treasures. With its art towns and cities, the rolling Prosecco Superiore hills, nature trails and itineraries celebrating the local food and wine, Donna Lucia is the ideal base for you to get to know this lovely part of the Veneto.

The Sile River and the GreenWay

The Sile is the longest river in Europe to come from a natural spring. It winds its way through the city of Treviso, creating some lovely scenery, and along its banks are safe and modern cycle trails. One such route is the GreenWay del Sile, which stretches as far as Jesolo (VE) and is ideal for anyone on a cycling holiday and slow tourists.

The Prosecco Superiore hills

Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Prosecco Superiore hills are testimony to how the local farmers cleverly transformed the natural landscape into something truly unique. Heroic viticulture is practised throughout these rolling hills and it is possible to visit wineries and taste real Prosecco DOCG of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene.

Montello and the Great War

Montello is a hilly area in the Treviso Pre-Alps, known as the “woods of the Serenissima” because in past times it supplied timber to the Republic of Venice. It was also the site of heavy fighting in the First World War. The area is well worth a visit to learn more about its history, nature and food.
