Our Story
It was 2014 when we discovered the magnificent Donna Lucia estate. We were just looking for a place for a special occasion, and we immediately fell in love.
It was love at first sight! We were welcomed by blooming trees, a gentle and relaxing silence, and then… the sunlight filtering through the trees created pure magic.
The first encounter
So, in April 2015, we celebrated our son Niccolò’s First Communion. It was an unforgettable day for the whole family; the location was perfect, set up in a truly sublime way.
Before leaving, I paused in front of the hotel’s entrance door and imagined the interior as a regal, elegant place, full of history and charm, yet at the same time contemporary.
A few months later, the "Donna Lucia" resort closed. It was a heartbreak!
From time to time, I would drive past those closed gates, feeling sadder each time. It was like a castle among the clouds, visible only to those who look with the eyes of the heart.
Finally, after seven long years, I learned that Donna Lucia was going to reopen. They were looking for someone to manage the hotel, one for the restaurant, and one for the spa. It felt like a dream. I stepped through those gates again, breathed in the magic once more, and saw the rooms. It seemed like yesterday that I had only looked at that door from the outside…

In January 2023, we embarked on this new and fantastic adventure—sometimes challenging; yet, we always strive to do our best to make our guests feel at home. And, as in every home, there is a family present: Niccolò can occasionally be found at arrivals and breakfasts, Carolina, when she isn’t helping a guest with something, enjoys making breakfast treats, Denis brews the best Sunday coffee, and Cookie… well, he’s our ultimate Pet Therapy specialist!
We want to offer our guests not just a place to rest, but a corner of the world that “feels like home,” where every detail reflects care and empathy.
Donna Lucia is much more than just a destination for relaxation: it is a place where serenity, genuine hospitality, and attentive care come together in perfect harmony.
